Research Abstract |
Results of CW group are described in 1 4, and those of DO group are in 5, as next. 1.Morphological and molecular phylogenetic analyses on 19 strains of sarcinoid-forming green algae revealed that Chlorosarcinopsis are divided into 4 subgroups, that Dcsmotetra is characterized by subapical basal bodies and parallel thylakoids in pyrenoids, that Chlorosarcina stigmatica(ASIB.T105) should be classified in a new genus, and that validity of Neochlorosarcina was ascertained. Physiological examinations on sarcinoid members by Groover and Bold(1969) was re-evaluated. 2.Heterotetracystis and Fasciculochloris bearing slightly unequal flagella are neither monophyletic to one another nor closely related with other unequal members, and the unequality was independently acquired. 3.Chlamydomonas monticola should be transferred to Heterotetrachalmydomonas by parallel basal bodies and unequal flagella, and is distinguished by naked gametes and anterior nucleus. 4.A unicellular green alga isolated from a farm soil of high salinity in Kazakhstan had chlorophyll a and b at the ratio of 2.62 in extraction of 80% aceton, and walled, astigmatic zoospores whose flagellar apparatus slightly bend from longitudinal axis of cell, and lengths of two flagella differ from one another at ratio of 2:1. This organism should be included in a new genus. 5.Phylogenetic analysis of Follicularia resolved a close affinity with Bracteacoccus in the Sphaeropleales. Despite of differences between them, the presence of numerous discoid chloroplasts are inferred to be their synapomorphic feature.
