Research Abstract

Since a brain tumor and cerebral infarction are comparatively easy to undergo an operation in the case that the diameter is less than 1cm, findings of them are very important. Then, in order to investigate the detection limited condition of the optical intensity, the size of diameters of a disease part was changed and the influence of the optical intensity detected was investigated by using numerical simulation. An analysis model is a sphere with a diameter of 100mm, and imitated each portion by changing an absorption coefficient supposing the skin, a skull, white matter, and the disease part. Since there is no variation in a solution in the optical intensity detected for the diameter of 6mm or more and the difference fully appeared in the optical intensity at the time of a disease and health as a result of analysis, it is thought that discovery of a disease part is possible. Next, in order to investigate the relation of optical intensity to the position of a disease part, five disease parts have been arranged at equal intervals on the straight line of a light source and a detector using the above-mentioned. At the point near a light source, the detected optical intensity does not have a difference at the time of health and a disease, and has not specified existence of a disease part. However, it is considered by rotating 180 degrees the position of an object or a light source that existence of a disease part can be checked the above result that the existence of the disease within a brain 1cm or less can be detected by Optical-CT by rotating a subject object even if a disease part is in which positions. Since the safe medical checkup that does not use X-rays by using this method was attained, it was shown that sick prevention is possible.
