Research Abstract

Micro-Displacement System including CCD Laser Displacement Meter(LE-4000,KEYENCE corp.), host computer(personal computer, LM40H13,NEC corp. with Micro-surface analytical program, Tres-Valle Lite ver.1.02,Mitsutani commercial company), and motor drive X/Y stage(MMC-2,MMC-K/J, Mitsutani corp.), which I combined from this Grant-in-Aid, has succeeded to measure accurately Micro-shape, within 0.2 micrometer error, of Cut-marks on food remains and Use-wear of Utensils, to study the Food culture in Japanese Modern age.
Based on this measuring method, and some other scientific method using other equipments-stereo-micro-scope, biological microscope, X-ray fluorescence spectrometry, and vernier caliper, in our laboratory, we have studied 27 archaeological sites we stored attributes more than 1000 individuals as a computer database.
