Research Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to develop an "Internet Based Education System for Enhancement of Information Creation Ability". At first, we investigated the students' needs and their experiences in computer use in our class. Next, we designed an "Internet Based Education system" in which we set up the exclusive webpage and bulletin board system. Using this system the students were asked to create their web pages. Finally, the effect of the system was examined based on the result of a questionnaire given to the students. Main results obtained from this study are as follows. (1) When the class starts, the students' needs don't necessarily correspond with the aim of the class. So, it's necessary for teacher to explain the aim of the class in detail. (2) As the learning result, a lot of web pages were made by the students. To evaluate and improve them, we developed a "Web-Based Mutual Evaluation System", which is a sub system of the "Internet Based Education System", and used it for improvement of the students' work by student's mutual evaluation. (3) From the result of the questionnaire, we found that the system was very effective because mutual evaluation information was newly and immediately gained. The students were satisfied with the class.
