Research Abstract

第8回国際Human Brain Mapping(HBM)が2002年6月に仙台で開催されることが決定している。脳機能画像研究の世界的な国際学会である。fMRIやPETなどの非侵襲的機能イメージング法を用いて脳の活動を研究する科学者たちの学会である。非侵襲的脳機能イメージング法には、このような生理的な測定とは別に、特異的神経伝達機能をイメージングする薬理学的方法がある。本サテライトシンポジウムが対象とする領域は幅広く、放射化学・標識合成法・モデル解析・遺伝子工学、臨床研究、創薬科学など多面的に討議される。本シンポジウムの目的は、世界的に高い評価を得ている日本のPET研究者が中心となり、国外の特異的神経伝達イメージングをPETにより行っている研究者がHBM会議の機に多数集まり、我が国と海外のReceptor-imaging研究の発展に多大な大きな貢献と進歩をもたらすことである。そのために、日本国内の拡大組織委員会を開催する必要性があり意見の統一を図った。具体的には以下のとおりである。
1)拡大組織委員会を開催し、国際サテライトシンポジウム開催の準備を行った。HBMへのサテライトシンポジウム申し込みを行い、了承された。
2)インターネットを東北大学のサーバーコンピュータに設置して、世界に向けて情報を発信した(http://www.cyric.tohoku.ac.jp/HBMreceptor/index.html)。現在、抄録をインターネットで集めている。
3)特別講演者とて、Dr.David J.Brooks(Hammersmith Hospital, London, UK)とDr.Roger N.Gunn(McGill University, Montreal, Canada)に決定し本人の了解を得た。
4)おおまかなフログラムを決定した。
