Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究は、在来知を分類、データベース化し、その所有の主体を明確化しようとするインドの「国家」アクターの実践との関係の中で、自身を取り巻く環境や知識との関わりを再構成していく人々の「経験」に焦点を当て、「(知識の)所有主体に『なる』とはどのようなことか」という問いを追究するものである。採用第３年目の平成27年度は、博士論文の執筆とその内容の一部の成果公開を進めると同時に、昨年度までにインド・ウッタラ―カンド州で行った調査研究と科学技術社会論、南アジアの関係的な人格概念をめぐる理論研究をもとに投稿論文を執筆した。
まず博士論文（『所有主体の生成と知識の翻訳：現代インドの生物資源をめぐる科学、在来知、知的所有権をめぐる民族誌』、平成28年3月東京大学大学院総合文化研究科へ提出）では、約２年間の多地点的なフィールドワークの成果をもとに、知識の「所有」という根源的な問題を、インドの新州ウッタラーカンドを生きる人々の具体的な知的営みと経験を通して探究することを試みた。また博士論文中の未発表部分（薬草の分類体系をめぐる政治的関係について）を、2016年にRoutledgeから刊行予定の書籍（Infrastructures and Social Complexity）の一章として執筆し直した。さらに、NatureCulture誌（州生物多様性登録プロジェクトにおける「知的所有権」と「慈悲」の論理の折衝について）、『人文学報』（インドにおけるアーユルヴェーダと他の知識システムの接触史）に昨年度投稿した論文も、修正・校正を経て今年度掲載にいたった。
また、昨年度から進めている、南アジアとメラネシアの関係的な人格（dividual）についての理論研究の成果を、『文化人類学』への投稿論文（田口陽子氏と共著、『文化人類学』81巻1号掲載予定）として執筆した。
