Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究課題では暗黒物質の正体や宇宙の物質・反物質非対称の起源の解明を目標とする。今日の宇宙における暗黒物質の存在量や物質・反物質非対称の度合は未知の素粒子模型が持つパラメーターの関数として算出される。これらの算出値と観測値を比較することで、初期宇宙の残存物をプローブとして未知模型を探り出すことができる。しかし、言い換えれば、初期宇宙における上述の量の算出精度が不十分であれば、未知模型に対し精度不十分な予言・制限をもたらし、最悪の場合、間違った理解を導き得る。本課題は、特に、初期宇宙という「入れ物」を適切に扱いながら上述の量を計算し、未知模型に対する初期宇宙残存物プローブの高精度化を目指した。
今年度、E6群を基にした大統一模型を枠組みとし、宇宙の物質・反物質非対称について研究した。この模型における物質・反物質非対称はレプトジェネシスと呼ばれるシナリオからもたらされる。レプトジェネシスに関わる本模型の特徴として、右巻きニュートリノの質量、及び、右巻きニュートリノと電子・ミューオン・タウレプトンそれぞれの相互作用が対称性により定まるという点が挙げられる。先行研究により、電子数・ミューオン数・タウレプトン数それぞれは背景温度と背景場に応じ、異なる形で時間発展、並びに、バリオン非対称へ転換することが知られている。本研究は、E6大統一模型における物質・反物質非対称生成の成否を明らかにするため、模型の対称性から定まる右巻きニュートリノ崩壊由来の電子数・ミューオン数・タウレプトン数それぞれを、超対称化の効果も含め、精確に算出した。これにより、E6大統一模型において今日観測される物質・反物質非対称が実現されることを明らかにした。また、本研究により、レプトンフレーバーの差異と超対称化を同時に取り入れたうえでの物質・反物質非対称の数値結果が初めて示された。
