Outline of Annual Research Achievements

2012年にLHC実験においてヒッグス粒子が発見され、その質量が125 GeVであることが判明した。超対称性模型では、ヒッグス粒子の質量は超対称性粒子の質量スペクトルなどから計算可能な物理量であるため、ヒッグス粒子の質量はその背後に隠れた超対称性模型を探るための重要な手掛かりとなる。特に125 GeVという質量は、典型的な超対称性粒子の質量スペクトルから予言される値に比べて大きいため、ヒッグス粒子の質量を増大させるような機構が存在することを示唆していると考えることができる。そのような機構を持つ模型はいくつか提案されているが、有力なものの一つが新しいカイラル超場を模型に加えたものである。このカイラル超場に含まれる新しいスカラーやフェルミオンがヒッグス場を相互作用することにより、ヒッグス粒子の質量を増大させることが可能となる。ヒッグス場との相互作用は比較的大きなものでなければいけないが、そのような強い相互作用はAsymptotic freeな性質を持つのが自然である。この性質をもらたすために、カイラル超場が新しい強いゲージ相互作用のもとで電荷を持つ模型を検討した。この新しい強い相互作用は低エネルギーで閉じ込められるが、そのために新奇な軽い複合粒子が予言される。このために、LHC実験で期待される超対称性粒子のシグナルが通常の模型と大きく異なり、現在の実験の制限が弱くなることを示した。
