Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本年度は主に以下の内容について検討を行った。

１、時間知覚に関わる運動情報の成分を明らかにした：視覚的な動きによる知覚時間の変化が，速度と変化（時間周波数）のどちらの要因によって引き起こされているのかについて，速度と時間周波数を独立に操作することで各要因の影響を検討した。ランダムドットの運動方向の変化を用いた場合には，変化頻度の影響は見られずに速度の影響だけが有意であったが，運動方向とともに輝度を変化させた場合には，速度と頻度の両方が知覚時間に影響した。またグレーティング刺激を用い，空間周波数の操作によって速度を操作させた場合にも，速度と反転頻度の両方が知覚時間に影響を及ぼすことが示された。これらの結果から，速度と時間周波数の影響が独立した影響であることを示し，両方の要因が運動による知覚時間への影響に重要であることを明らかにした。
２、人の動きの認識が速度知覚に及ぼす影響を明らかにした：対象の運動速度の知覚に，人の身体運動情報が及ぼす影響を調べるため，バイオロジカルモーション刺激を用いて検討を行った。恒常法による検討の結果，正立刺激の方が倒立刺激よりも速度知覚の弁別感度が高いことが示された。また，光点の位置をランダムに配置したスクランブル刺激では，速度弁別感度が通常の刺激に比べて非常に低くなった。さらに知覚速度を調べたところ，正立・倒立に関わらず通常の刺激よりもスクランブル刺激の方が速く動いて知覚された。これらの結果から，人の身体運動情報が対象の動きの認識を向上させること，また運動情報のグローバルな処理が知覚速度を変化させることを明らかにした。

以上の研究内容を含めた成果について5つの国内外の学会で発表を行った。またこれまでの研究の成果として，査読付き国際誌2件を含む3件の英語論文が掲載された。
