非合成的意味処理に関する言語普遍的モデルの構築－脳科学的観点からの検討－

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本年度は、アスペクト強制（aspectual coercion）文の処理について、additive typeとsubtractive typeを用いて検討した。事象関連電位実験の結果、アスペクト強制文では、iterative typeと同様に、動詞の呈示開始後300-700 msで前頭部陰性波（anterior negativity: AN）が観察された。これは、additive typeとsubtractive typeのオンライン処理が、iterative typeのものと類似していることを示唆している。
また本年度は、ANがどのような処理を反映しているかも検討した。具体的には、刺激呈示間隔（SOA）を要因として加え、動詞に対する時間的な予測可能性を操作した実験を行った。その結果、SOAが長い場合には、アスペクト強制文に対して300-700 msでANが観察されたのに対し、SOAが短い場合には、500 ms以降しかANが惹起されなかった。つまり、先行する時間副詞（10分間・10分で）に基づく動詞に対する予測の生成が時間的に可能ではない場合には、300-500 msでANが惹起されなかった。この結果は、早い潜時帯で観察されるAN（early AN）は、予測されたアスペクトとの不一致によって惹起されており、アスペクト強制の処理自体を反映しているわけではないことを示唆している。一方で、遅い潜時帯で観察されるAN（late AN）は、動詞の時間的予測可能性に関わらずアスペクト強制文で観察されたことから、アスペクトの再解釈を反映していることが示唆された。このような特徴は、ANが異なる認知処理を反映する複数の成分によって構成されていることを示唆する。
