Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究は、ヒトの運動学習過程を非侵襲的神経(脳)修飾法を利用して効果的に促進することを見据え、運動学習に関わる脳内神経基盤を理解することを目的としている。本年度は運動学習の基盤となる学習メカニズムである誤差に基づく学習、成功に基づく学習に着目し、それらの重み変化を反映する脳内神経生理的パラメータを明らかにすることを目的とした実験を行った。運動学習には様々な学習メカニズムが関与することが示唆されており、その中でも特に誤差に基づく学習、成功に基づく学習はその代表的メカニズムと言える。本年度は、経頭蓋磁気刺激と経頭蓋直流電流を神経生理的変化を評価する手段として用い、学習メカニズムと脳内神経生理的変化の関係性を探った。その結果、誤差に基づく学習に依拠した運動学習が進行している際には小脳皮質での神経興奮性の可塑的変化が、一方で、成功に基づく学習を主に動員した運動学習時には一次運動野の可塑的変化が生じることが明らかとなった。これらの成果は、ヒトの運動学習過程を非侵襲的神経修飾法で操作(促進)することを企図した時、異なる脳領域の神経興奮性を操作することでそれぞれの領域を基盤に持つ異なる学習メカニズムが修飾されうる可能性を示している。
