Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究では水文環境を反映した地表プロセス(侵食,運搬,堆積)を理解するため,小規模な湖沼-流域系で定期的な観測に基づき,水文資料と湖沼堆積物の物理量から地形条件に基づく降水量一般式を導入する。大規模な湖沼-流域系では,観測時代の水文資料と表層コア堆積物の物理量の関係性を明らかにし,降水量の推定式を確立する。そして長尺コア堆積物情報を用いて歴史時代の水文環境変動を解明することを目的とする。
1.地表プロセスの理解:滝谷池(金沢市)で堆積速度は降水強度(外的要因)と水位(流域要因)の関数で表すことができた。この堆積量一般式について解析期間を拡張して検証した結果,よりよい相関関係を確認した。また,赤外線式雨量計の観測記録を解析し,滝谷池の議論に適した水文資料の検証を行った。泥鰌池(立山)では,冬季の堆積物試料および水位観測資料の回収を行った。
2.観測時代における人為的な環境変動と自然の環境変動の評価:大沼コア堆積物の物理量(鉱物含有率と密度),航空写真と旧版地図情報から大沼湖沼堆積物は自然の環境変動に加え,流域での人為的な環境変動を記録していることが明らかになった。
3.歴史時代の環境変動の復元:大沼(北海道),余呉湖(滋賀県),琵琶湖(滋賀県)で採取された長尺コア堆積物の年代軸の信頼性が向上し,中世温暖期,小氷期の堆積層を把握することが可能となった。
研究成果は査読付き学術論文として7本(筆頭著者として1本,共著者として6本)が受理され一部は公表された。また,国際会議で口頭発表2件,国内会議で口頭発表1件を行った。さらに,北潟湖(石川県,福井県),福島県のため池,金剛山高見池(奈良県)で異なる地形条件や,津波などの災害によって記録される地表プロセスの理解を目指し,湖沼堆積物を用いた研究を発展させた。
