Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究では、近赤外線分光法（NIRS）と脳磁図（MEG）を用いて乳児・幼児・学童・成人の脳活動を計測することで、顔認知能力の素地が発現する乳児期から複雑かつ洗練された顔認知能力を有する成人期までの顔認知能力の発達の神経基盤を明らかにすることを目的とする。特に、ヒトの顔認知能力の発達が乳児期から10 歳頃まで持続することを示す現象の1 つである「顔の人種効果（other-race effect）」に焦点を当て、顔認知能力の長期的な発達と脳機能の発達との関係を解明する。
平成27年度は、平成26年度から継続して、中央大学にて顔処理の発達的な変化をより経時的にとらえるため、生後5～9ヶ月の5ヶ月齢の乳児のデータを取得した。取得した乳児データについては、乳児NIRS研究で長く用いられてきたZ値算出による方法と、NIRS-SPMによる分析の両方を適用している。
その他、The 11th Asia-Pacific Conference on Vision（2015年7月、シンガポール）で口頭発表を行った他、とVision Sciences Society 15th Annual Meeting（2015年5月、フロリダ）にてポスター発表を行った。また国内学会では日本基礎心理学会第34回大会（2015年11月、大阪樟蔭女子大学）にてポスターの研究発表を行い、優勝発表賞を受賞した他、視覚科学フォーラム第19回にて研究会にて口頭発表を行った。
昨年度に実施していた研究は英文論文にまとめ、国際学術誌に投稿・修正中である。
