Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究の目的は、銀河に付随する高温ガスの観測から、階層を超えた元素とエネルギーの循環を明らかにすることで、宇宙の化学進化・構造進化に迫ることである。そのために、以下の２つの研究の遂行を行った。一つは銀河・銀河団に付随する高温プラズマの元素組成比を求め、銀河から銀河団へといった物質の流れを解明する。二つめは2015年度打ち上げ予定のASTRO-H衛星搭載SXSマイクロカロリメータを用いて、電荷交換反応、共鳴散乱、ドップラーシフトなど、熱平衡からはずれたスペクトル構造から、高温/低温ガスの相互作用やガスの運動を解明する。特に本年度は２つめの検出器開発を主に行った。2015年度の打ち上げを控えたASTRO-H衛星搭載のマイクロカロリメータSXSのメンバーとして衛星試験に参加した。検出器を極低温50 mKまで冷やす3段式断熱消磁冷凍機 (ADR)をコントロールするADRコントローラの担当をつとめ、中心メンバーとして活動している。さらに、本年度は立教大学が主導している、パルスチューブ冷凍機の作成にも参加した。このシステムでは、2段パルスチューブ冷凍機を用いて2-4 Kの熱浴を実現し、CrKミョウバンを用いた断熱消磁冷凍機によって、センサ動作温度である極低温環境を実現する。本冷凍機開発も、小型衛星に搭載し、太陽や惑星における電荷交換反応の測定を目指している。
