Outline of Annual Research Achievements

トポロジーの概念が物性物理学に及ぼす波及効果を探求し、トポロジーによって誘発される異常物理現象を明らかにすることが本研究課題の目的である。３年目においては以下の研究課題に取り組み、それぞれにおいて重要な結果を得た。
(1)３次元カイラル超伝導体における“脆い”マヨラナ準粒子状態
異方的超伝導体におけるノード構造は波数空間における渦やモノポールと見なすことができ、トポロジカル数を用いた安定性解析を行うことができる。このトポロジカル数はバルク・境界対応により表面ゼロエネルギー平坦バンド（マヨラナ平坦バンド）の存在を予言する。私は３次元カイラル超伝導体におけるマヨラナ平坦バンドの安定性をトポロジーとコンダクタンスの観点から解析した。その結果、私は結晶軸と物質表面の相対角がトポロジカル数に強い要請を与えることを明らかにした。これは３次元カイラル超伝導体ではある特定の表面でのみマヨラナ平坦バンドが存在できることを意味する。従って、銅酸化物超伝導体とは異なりゼロバイアスコンダクタンスピークを観測するには精密な角度の調整が必要となる。
(2) ディラック線ノード半金属におけるトポロジカル相転移
近年、線ノード半金属と呼ばれる新奇トポロジカル半金属が注目を集めている。線ノード半金属はスピン軌道相互作用(SOC)が弱いとき安定であるが、SOCが強いとディラック半金属相やトポロジカル絶縁相、ワイル線ノード半金属相など異なるトポロジカル相へ転移することが知られているが未だ系統的な分類は行われていない。私はトポロジカル数と群論の観点からディラック線ノード半金属(DLN)からワイル線ノード半金属(WLN)への相転移の分類を行った。その結果、群論から２通りの転移のパターンのみが許されることがわかった。私はこの結果を発展させれば結晶構造のみからトポロジカル相転移の有無を予言できると考えている。
