Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究の目的は,マイクロ波アシスト記録ヘッド用磁界発振層のための,巨大な負の一軸結晶磁気異方性 (Ku) を有するCoIr薄膜の作製およびグラニュラ化 (金属コラム-酸化物粒界の複合構造),ならびにその高周波特性の明確化にある.本年度においては,歳差運動のダンピング定数についての検討を行った.検討の当初,発振に重要な実効ダンピング定数はほぼ材料の結晶構造が支配的に決定すると考えていたが,グラニュラ薄膜の組織や積層構造の差異等の外因的要因により実効的に2倍以上も変化することが判明した.そのため,Co基グラニュラ薄膜の積層構造が実効的なダンピング定数に及ぼす影響について強磁性共鳴の線幅を評価することにより検討した.その結果,実効ダンピング定数は下地層の差異によるCo基グラニュラ薄膜の組織変化では下地Ru層の成膜Ar圧力の変化により約2倍,また積層構造の差異により6倍以上も増大することが明らかとなった. また,上記結果は,国内および国外の学会にて報告しており,5月にはシンガポールの国際学会にて招待講演を行い,8月のマグネティックス研究会では研究奨励賞,12月にはマレーシアのポスター発表ではBest Poster Awardを受賞している.
