Outline of Annual Research Achievements

今年度は1) ロタキサン構造を有する分解性ゲル、2) CD含有ロタキサンの不斉特性解析について検討した。
1) ロタキサン構造を有する分解性ゲル
前年度合成した、サイズ相補性ロタキサン架橋高分子の分解性について、蛍光を用いることで定量的な評価を行った。加熱によってサイズ相補性ロタキサン部位が解離することで、蛍光性を示すダンベル分子が溶液中に拡散する。加熱時間に対して溶液中の蛍光強度をプロットすることで、解架橋の速度を評価した結果、この解架橋は120時間程度まで速く進行した後、速度は緩やかになることが分かった。この時点ではゲルの存在がはっきりと確認されるため、ゲルの完全な分解には数少ない架橋点の解架橋も必要であることが示唆された。
2) CD含有ロタキサンの不斉特性解析
CD含有ロタキサンにおいて、アキラルなダンベル部位に、CDのキラリティーが転写され、軸末端置換基のCDスペクトルにCotton効果が観測された。特に興味深いのはNativeのCDを輪とするロタキサンのCotton効果が負なのに対して、アシル体では正となる点である。この発現機構について調べた結果、CDの修飾による軸末端吸収団の被覆が、誘起CDの正負に大きく影響していることが示唆された。すなわち、Native CDのロタキサンにおいては輪がベンゼン環から離れて存在するが、アシル化されると輪が空孔に沿って拡大し、ベンゼン環をある程度包接するように変化したことが示唆される。また、Native CDにおいてはCDユニット間に水素結合が働き輪成分同士が近づくが、アシル化CDにおいてその相互作用がないこともこの被覆に影響することが、[3]ロタキサンのX線結晶構造解析の結果からも支持された。
