Outline of Annual Research Achievements

平成27年度は,面発光レーザの新機能創出のための精密波長制御,横モード制御,およびビーム制御に取り組んだ.高精度な波長可変動作により,850nm帯波長可変面発光レーザ構造で100GHz間隔で110チャネル動作を達成した.また,面発光レーザのセンシング・イメージング応用に向けて,ビームの方向を電気的に制御するビーム掃引機能の実証を行った.ビーム偏向機能を持つ半導体レーザとしては極めて大きなビーム偏向角(30°)とともに,4°以下の鋭いビーム形状,そして1.3×10^11 °/sの高速なビーム偏向動作を確認した.この速度はこれまでに報告されているものよりも1,000倍高速であり,半導体レーザのビームエンジニアリングの新規技術として発展が期待できる.これらの成果を学術論文3報,国内会議5報(招待講演1報)および査読付き国際会議3報で報じた.以上の結果から,平成27年度は期待通りの進展が見られた.
