Outline of Annual Research Achievements

平成27年度は,昨年度から引き続き半導体InGaAsの結晶構造に由来するDresselhausスピン軌道相互作用の電気的制御に関する研究をおこなった。昨年度までの研究にてDresselhausスピン軌道相互作用の有効磁場の符号反転を示唆する実験結果が得られていた。本年度は量子井戸中の歪みの効果を考慮するなどさらに詳細な解析をおこない,符号反転がDresselhausスピン軌道相互作用の電気的制御に他ならないことを明らかにした。有効磁場の符号の反転が起こる点では実効的にDresselhausスピン軌道相互作用の影響が無視できることを意味するので,以上の結果はスピン緩和の抑制を考えるうえで非常に重要な知見を与えるものである。
研究開始初年度からのテーマである電子スピンの幾何学的位相に関しても引き続き研究を進めた。シミュレーションにより,多角形スピン干渉計に対して面内磁場を印加することでリングを用いた場合よりも幾何学的位相の影響が顕著にあらわれることを示した。これは,スピン輸送の断熱性が干渉計の形状に強く依存することを示しており,スピン幾何学的位相を用いた新奇デバイスの実現を考えるうえで重要な結果である。
また,共同研究では面内磁場によるスピン幾何学的位相の不連続な変化について議論した。この不連続な変化はスピン輸送の断熱性に関係しており,上述した多角形スピン干渉計はこの新奇物理の観測に関しても有利な構造であると考えられる。
