Outline of Annual Research Achievements

研究目標の達成のために、まず高エネルギー物理が導く新しい宇宙像の探求のため、重力理論が一般相対性理論と異なる可能性(修正重力理論)について探査した。修正重力理論は小スケールにおける既存のテストを満たすため、余分の自由度を抑制する機構を持つ。しかし、この機構は特定のクラスの修正重力理論において一部破れることを初めて見出した。それを星構造の進化に応用することを行い、この振る舞いが重力理論の探求に対して鋭敏であることを見出した。

第二に、初期宇宙の重要なプローブである宇宙弦について、その観測的な差異を探求した。宇宙弦はどんな初期条件から出発しても、スケーリングという性質により特定の状況に帰着すると期待されており、予言性が非常に高いと言われている。しかし、インフレーション中に宇宙弦が生成する模型を考えた場合この限りではない。本研究ではこのような宇宙弦に対して、その発展を探った。その結果として、近年の宇宙マイクロ波背景輻射の精密観測によって指摘されている大スケールでのアノマリーがこの遅延スケーリング宇宙弦によって説明可能であることを指摘した。

最後に、将来の精細観測時代を見据え、将来の大規模観測によってどのような宇宙論のフロンティアが開拓されていくかを探求した。特に、Square Kilometre Array (SKA)と呼ばれる次世代電波望遠鏡に着目している。これまで可視光・近赤外でのみ行われてきた弱重力レンズ探査について、SKAを用いることで初めて電波域による探査が可能となる。電波域による銀河探査により宇宙の電波3次元地図を書くことができるようになる。可視光・近赤外探査による結果とは相補的な関係となっており、双方向の解析を行うことでインフレーション模型が満たすべき整合性条件の合否を探査できる。また、宇宙マイクロ波背景輻射観測との協働においてもSKAは重要な地位を占める。
