Outline of Annual Research Achievements

マメ科Vigna属には多様なストレス耐性をもつ野生種が存在し、その一部は食用に採集されている。これらを栽培化すれば、新たなストレス耐性作物として利用できる。この過程をNeo-domesticationと呼ぶ。なお、栽培化形質を支配する遺伝子があらかじめ同定されていれば、変異原処理集団からの選抜過程がさらに容易になる。そこで本研究ではVigna属における栽培化関連遺伝子の単離とVigna属野生種の変異原処理集団の育成を試みた。
当該年度はアズキの裂莢性が0%になる栽培化遺伝子(TIP)について、アグロバクテリウム法により栽培アズキに野生アズキのTIP遺伝子を導入した系統の作出に成功した。現在、形質評価のため隔離栽培を行っている。
またV. stipulaceaの変異体ライブラリーを充実化させ、新たに種子休眠性と裂莢性に関する変異体を選抜した。
