Outline of Annual Research Achievements

最終年度は、多孔性金属錯体を光電極として応用することを目的として、これまでに合成を行ってきたMOFを用いて光電極を作製し、その電極特性を評価した。
光電極の作製は、可視光吸収特性を示すFe系酸化物クラスターを有するMOF (Fe-MOF)を透明導電性電極にドロップキャストすることで行った。作製したFe-MOF光電極を用いて、水からの酸素生成反応を行ったところ、可視光照射下で効率の良い酸素の生成が確認された。特に、MIL-101型の構造を有するFe-MOFを用いた際に最も高い活性が得られることがわかった。本成果をまとめた国際論文を現在登校中である。今後の展開としては、さらに長波長の光に対して応答するMOF光電極を設計するとともに、水素生成系と組み合わせることで水の完全分解を通して水素と酸素を発生できる新規な光デバイスの開発が期待される。
その他にも、MOF材料を用いた新規な触媒開発及び触媒反応系の開発を行い、上記とは他に国際論文を2件発表した。1件目は、不均一系Photoredox触媒の開発を目的として、有機リンカーにポルフィリンユニットを有するMOF (Zr-MOF-TCPP)を調製し、可視光照射下でのフェニルボロン酸からフェノールへのヒドロキシル化反応への応用を検討した。2件目はCO2固定化反応である環状カーボネート合成に有効な酸点と塩基点を骨格内に有する新規触媒材料の開発を目指し、MOFの発展材料の1つであるZeolitic Imidazolate Framework (ZIF)を前駆体に用いた金属内包窒素含有カーボン触媒の合成を行った。
今後も、これまでに得られた電子移動メカニズム関する知見および新規な可視光応答型MOF光触媒や光電極を用いて新規な光電変換デバイスの開発を推進する。また、得られた成果についても論文投稿等の外部発表を積極的に行っていく。
