Outline of Annual Research Achievements

神奈川県立生命の星・地球博物館の魚類写真資料データベースへの市民の魚類写真資料の統合をはかり、外来種の違法導入事例の報告（Twitterを情報発信現とする生物多様性情報の収集と科学的活用）や国外において撮影された魚類写真資料についての活用とその問題点について考察した。これらの成果は、国内外の学会や研究会での発表を通じて他の研究者との意見交換を経てから学術雑誌へ公表した。
『日本生態学会誌』の学術情報論文、神奈川県立生命の星・地球博物館の『自然科学のとびら』、『つり情報』の巻末カラーの連載記事やサイエンス・カフェの場等を活用し、研究成果の紹介を行い、研究成果の普及のための手法を模索した。
ＷＥＢ上で展開する生物多様性データベースが保全生態学的に重要であることは、市民科学の成果の過半数を生物多様性保全に関連した研究が占めることからも明らかである。しかし、市民科学では環境教育効果が謳われながらも、その観点から実施された生物モニタリングや科学的成果をあげるプロセスにおいて、定量的に参加者（市民）の自然教育効果を示した研究は少ない。これに貢献する研究を実施すべく、これまでの魚類相・魚類群集の分類学的・生態学的な研究成果をもとに、黒松内町立小中学校における「総合的な学習の時間」での依頼授業に生物多様性データベースの存在を昨年度に引き続いて取り上げた。その中で、本研究に基づく写真資料を活用した教材を開発し、その試みを日本魚類学会で発表した。
本研究における主張を補強すべく、魚類標本および魚類写真資料を積極的にvoucherとして活用した魚類相、魚類群集を対象とした研究も国内外の博物館を拠点に実施するとともに、淡水生物の分布情報を保全生態学的な観点から解析し、北海道黒松内町が策定した生物多様性地域戦略の実現とその順応的管理に貢献し得る研究も行った。
