イネ耐旱性関連形質の同定ならびに環境ストレス要因との相互作用

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

1. 耐旱性NERICAを用いた根系形質の同定と環境との相互作用  昨年度供試したNERICA1とNERICA4を用い、土壌水分変動条件下において、窒素施肥が根系発育ならびに地上部生育に与える影響について、圃場条件で評価した。その結果、最適窒素施肥量下であれば、根系の可塑性は乾燥ストレス条件下で発揮され、その後に続く再潅水時に、地上部生育に大きく貢献することを明らかにした。
2. 根系が発揮する可塑性の機能解析および関連遺伝子座の同定  乾燥ストレス条件下での根系の可塑性発揮における炭素収支を、根呼吸速度に注目して調べるため、日本晴とKasalathと系統50番(日本晴/Kasalath 染色体部分置換系統群(全54系統))を、土耕条件で生育させた。その結果、根呼吸量は乾燥ストレスによって増加し、その増加程度には品種間差異が確認された。軽度な乾燥ストレス条件下において、系統50番の根呼吸速度は、日本晴とくらべ有意に小さかったことから、系統50番のように耐旱性の高いイネは、乾燥ストレス条件下において根呼吸量を減らして根系発育に光合成産物を使っていることが示唆された。さらに、東北タイの天水田適応品種であるKDML105に、日本晴の戻し交雑後代を自殖させた材料を用いてQTL解析を行った結果、KDML105が有する根系の可塑性に関与する遺伝子座の座乗領域を明らかにした。
3. フィリピン国内におけるイネ耐旱性形質と環境との相互作用評価  フィリピンイネ研究所内の実験圃場にて、昨年度1月から乾季作栽培評価試験を実施した。サンプリングしたイネについて、収量および根系解析を行い、耐旱性と根系の機能的役割を評価した。
