Research Abstract

1)bクォークのsクォークを含む終状態へ崩壊する過程である、3億8千6百万のB・反B中間子対から、B中間子がファイ中間子とKs6中間子、およびイータプライム中間子とKs中間子とに崩壊する反応を選び出し、それらのCP非対称を測定した。その結果、それらのCP非対称度の値が標準理論から期待される値からずれている可能性を得た。この結果は、標準理論を超える新しい物理につながる可能性があり、より一層の統計精度の向上が望まれる。
2)B中間子が荷電パイ中間子対に崩壊する過程のCP非対称の測定の統計精度を高め、直接的CP対称性の破れについての信頼度を高めた。2億7千5百万のB・反B中間子対の解析から得られた直接的CP非対称の大きさA=0.56+-0.12+-0.06は、この反応における直接的CPの破れを4σの統計的有意さで示している。
3)B中間子がストレンジネスを含むハドロンとレプトン対(電子・陽電子またはミューオン・反ミューオン)へ崩壊する電弱崩壊の精密測定を進めた。1億5千2百万のB・反B中間子対を解析することによって、その分岐比を(4.11+-0.83+0.85-0.81)×10^<-6>と決定した。この値を使って、いくつかの超対称性モデルに制限を与えることができる。さらに、B中間子がK*中間子とレプトン対に崩壊する反応のレプトンの角分布を測定し、角分布に前方後方非対称があることを世界で初めて示した。また、反応のWilson係数を決定し、新物理のモデルにも制限を与えた。
