Research Abstract

伊藤は,同位体組織が制御されたシリコン半導体を利用して,核スピンと電子スピンの量子操作研究を概観した.量子操作としては電子スピンを介した核スピンの初期化や,パルス量子操作による核スピンコヒーレンスの25秒までの延長が大きな成果である.また,リン(^<31>P)不純物を電子スピンおよび核スピン量子ビットとして添加し,同位体純度に対するリン電子スピンコヒーレンスの挙動と電子スピンと核スピン間の相互作用の変化も明らかにした.
大野は,時間分解カー回転測定を用いた光学的手法による,半導体量子構造における核スピンのコヒーレントダイナミクスの検出を実証した.また,スピンエコー法により,局所的な核スピンの位相緩和時間と不均一広がりによる実効的な位相緩和時間を得た.スピンエコー法自体が量子操作技術であり,それを光のみで行った意義は大きい.
武藤は,量子ドットの電子スピンを用いた量子演算ゲートの研究を行った.核磁場を利用した光量子ビットから電子量子ビットへの量子ビット変換,量子演算・スピンデコヒーレンス,量子ドットの発光波長制御について実験的に検討した.また,四波混合をもちいた位相緩和時間測定にも成功した。
石橋は,カーボンナノチューブを用いたスピン量子ビットへの応用を検討した.単一ナノチューブに対して離散的な電子準位を観測し,それら電子準位を用いた量子操作の可能性を物理的に考察した.これらの量子操作が完成すれば,カーボンナノチューブをもちいた量子コンピュータが実現することになる.
