Research Abstract

平成17年度の研究に基づき(1)高繰り返し高出力チタンサファイアレーザーの広帯域波長変換によるサブTW光源の開発、(2)XUV領域における2光子超閾イオン化スペクトルの高分解能測定(3)周波数分解光ゲート法(FROG法)を用いたアト秒パルスの波形・位相同時測定(4)高次高調波を用いた固体光電子分光の研究において成果を上げた。
(1)では5kHz、サブテラワットチタンサファイアレーザーにおいて可変ミラーによる位相補償を行い、基本波で15fs、2倍波で7.5fsのパルスを得た。また可変ミラーのかわりに音響光学素子(ダズラー)を用いることにより、波形と位相をリアルタイムで測定し、位相補償の自動制御を可能にした。このことによりシステムを臨機応変に変えることができる。(2)ではHe中の2光子超閾イオン化スペクトルを飛行時間測定法(TOF)で測定し、その分解能を100meV以下に改善すると同時に測定感度を1ケタ以上高めた。このことにより(3)の周波数分解光ゲート法によるアト秒パルスの位相と波形の同時測定が可能となった。用いた光はチタンサファイアレーザーの18次高調波(30eV)であり、アト秒パルスの波形・位相同時測定は世界初である。このことは可視域のパルスと同じ基準で比較していることになり、可視域の2.8fsの記録を大幅に破ったことを意味する。(4)では狭帯域なNd:YVO_4レーザーの6倍波(7eV)を励起源とした世界最高の分解能(360μeV)をもつレーザー光電子分光器を用い、強相関物質であるV酸化物のフェルミレベル近傍の電子状態を明らかにした。
