Research Abstract

今年度は,主にethanolとpropanolの強レーザ場中におけるイオン化解離反応とbinaphthylの光異性化反応の制御について研究した.これらの研究における電子状態は,いずれも分極関数を1組または2組付加したdouble or triple zeta型基底関数を用いたmulti-configuration self- consistent field(MCSCF)波動関数により記述した.なお,すべての計算は量子化学計算プログラムGAMESSを用いて行った.
強レーザ場中でのEthanolのイオン化解離について:Ethanolの最安定構造はCs対称を有する.急速なイオン化ののち解離すると仮定すると,短時間(短パルス)ではCs対称構造を保持してethanol cationの基底状態^2A"の解離potential energy surface(PES)に沿って状態であると考えられる.このときのC-C解離エネルギーは比較的高いのに対し,C-O解離エネルギーは低い.従ってC-O解離が有利である.C-C解離に沿ってCs対称構造を保持した場合,1.8Å近傍にて最低^2A"状態と最低^2A'状態の解離PESが交差する.すなわち,解離極限における基底状態は^2A'であり,Cs対称を失うことでエネルギー的に低い解離経路が存在する.この交差点周りでいわゆるconical intersectionを形成している.この解離経路に沿うエネルギーはC-O解離エネルギーよりも小さい.従って,長時間(長パルス)ではCs対称構造を崩す振動モードが励起されC-C解離経路が優位となると考えることができる.なお,C-O解離経路に沿ってconical intersectionは存在しない.
強レーザ場中での1-Propanolのイオン化解離について:2つのC-C結合とC-O結合の3つの解離過程を検証する必要がある.また,いくつかの構造異性体も存在し多数の解離経路を考察しなければならないが,本研究では簡単のために最安定であるall trans構造を初期構造として考察を進めた.この構造の場合,中央のC-C結合解離はethanolと同様に取り扱うことができたが,末端のC-C解離とC-O解離はほぼ平行であり強レーザ場により同時に励起される.それゆえ,同時に考慮した解離PESを求め考察した.詳細は省略する.
Binaphthylの光学異性化反応の制御について:基底状態および適切な電子的励起状態の光学異性化反応に沿うPESを求め,異性化反応のレーザ制御の可能性を追求した.詳細は発表論文を参照していただくこととして省略する.
