Research Abstract

今年度の成果は以下のとおりである。
第一は、自転していない大質量星の重力崩壊におけるブラックホール形成とそこから放出されるニュートリノシグナルに関するものである。ガンマ線バーストのセントラルエンジンとしては高速回転しているブラックホールが有望視されているが、自転の遅い親星のほうが圧倒的に多い可能性がある。こうした天体現象はまだ観測されていないが、それは電磁波を放出していないだけからかもしれず、ニュートリノでは明るく輝く可能性がある。本研究では、親星の質量をパラメターにし、詳細なニュートリノ輸送を考慮した一般相対論的流体力学シミュレーションを系統的に行い、こうした現象に特有なニュートリノシグナルを明らかにした。これを用いれば、ブラックホールが形成されたことだけでなく、高密度ハドロン物質の状態方程式に関しても重要な情報を得られる可能性を示した。
第二の成果は、コラプサーシナリオに基づく多次元MHDシミュレーションによるジェットの形成と元素合成に関するものである。この研究では、ジェットがブラックホールのごく近傍ではなく、離れた所でも形成されうる可能性を示した点で独創的であった。また、爆発的元素合成を詳細に計算し、その特徴を明らかにした。
第二の成果は、近年着目されている超新星コア内の降着衝撃波の不安定に関するものである。我々は、線形解析と数値シミュレーションを組み合わせ、不安定性の線形段階から非線形段階に至る成長の様子を明らかにした。また、重力波放出も見積もるとともに、Burrowsの提唱する音波により超新星爆発を誘起するメカニズムとの関連も議論した。
第4の成果は超新星コア内における原子核の形状である。密度の上昇にともない原子核は互いに合体し、糸状、板状、また高密度領域に囲まれた糸状、球状の低密度領域などに相転移(パスタ構造)をとるが、新たな原子核モデルで、密度-温度面での相図を作成した。ニュートリノの透過率に対して重要なデータとなる。
第5の成果は、最高赤方偏移ガンマ線バーストGRB050904を用いて、宇宙の再電離に対する示唆を世界で初めてガンマ線バーストから導くことに成功したことである。また、活動銀河中心核からのガンマ線について理論的研究を行い、MeV領域からGeV領域にかけての宇宙背景放射への寄与を精密にみつもった。特に、今まで説明が難しいと言われていたMeV領域の背景放射が、X線領域で卓越しているセイファート銀河成分の自然な理論的拡張で説明できることを示した。さらに、長年の謎である銀河系中心からの511keV電子陽電子対消滅ガンマ線が、銀河系中心の超巨大ブラックホールの過去の活動性で自然に説明できることを示した。
