Research Abstract

これまでにアナナスショウジョウバエとパリドーサショウバエの単為生殖を利用した種間モザイクゲノム系統を作製し、生殖的隔離の原因遺伝子をマッピングした。その結果、交配後隔離の原因となる遺伝的不和合が第2染色体左腕と第3染色体右腕に見出された。また、性的隔離の原因となる、雄の求愛歌を識別する雌の遺伝子についても、同様の染色体領域にマッピングされた。これらの領域には、いずれも種特異的な染色体逆位が存在する。このことは、逆位のない染色体領域では遺伝子の種間イントログレッションが生じているが、逆位領域では組換えの抑制に伴って種間イントログレッションが妨げられるだめ、遺伝子の分岐が大きぐなり、種分化遺伝子が蓄積されやすい、と考えると説明できる。このような染色体レベルの種分化モデルがこれらの種間に当てはまるかどうか、本年度は分子レベルでの検証を行なった。5個の遺伝子のイントロン領域について、30系統の塩基配列を決定し、集団遺伝学的あるいは分子系統学的な解析を行なったところ、X染色体右腕と第4染色体において明らかな種間イントログレッションボ検出された。X染色体右腕は種間に逆位のない領域であり、第4染色体非常に小さく、種間イントログレッションが生じていても当然である。一方、X染色体左腕、第2染色体左腕、第2染色体右腕においては、これまでのところ種間イントログレッションは検出されていない。これらの領域には、いずれも種特異的逆位が存在することから、染色体レベルの種分化モデルが分子レベル検証されたと結論できる。
