Research Abstract |
Highly-sensitive astronomical satellite projects in the infrared and X-ray regions are becoming to employ cryogenic sensor systems (at 2 Kelvin or lower) in order to reduce the sensor noise and to improve the sensitivity and/or spectral resolution. The purpose of this research was to manufacture cryogenic op-amplifiers and to realize cryogenic preamplifiers, analog multiplexers, and signal processing ICs. We have assembled two-types of far-infrared sensors using the cryogenic electronics, and were preparing the evaluation test for them in the 2003 fiscal year. However, since a new comprehensive research grant including this research was adopted as a specially promoted scientific research, this research was terminated. The original purpose of this research shall be reached in the new one.
