Research Abstract |
The purpose of this study is clarifying the life of the fishing village of a north area in Japan, Aomori, Iwate and Akita Prefecture, and the actual condition of fishery output, and considering the possibility of continuation as a community based on it. Research was done as follows. It was performed statistic analysis about the fishery output of North-Tohoku area. And, it was investigated the coast fishing village of Shimokita peninsula within Aomori Prefecture. It was conducted that investigation of Kamaishi-shi, Kawauti-cho, Mimmaya-mura, and Imabetsu-cho. And the conclusion of the research for three years was performed. The result obtained from this research is the following three points. 1. Aging is remarkable in a coast fishing village. 60 or older-year elderly-people are performing the fishing. 2. As a result of investigating, the measure using the resources of an area existed. For example, the object of fishery output is converted into the sea cucumber from the scallop. Women processed seaweed and were considering it as goods. The school which abolished was reused to accommodations. 3. Hachimori-machi in Akita Prefecture is promoted using a fish called sand fish (Hatahata). And the women of a fishing village were tackling processing of a fish. Thus, it is a measure important for a community improvement to tackle local activation using the resources of an area.
