Research Abstract |
Polyvinylidene fluoride(an abbreviation PVDF ) generates.large output voltage, when the force is applied to a film. This property is called "piezoelectricity". This study was examined experimentally that the strain measurement is possible using piezoelectric polymer film. This study produces the gages using piezoelectric polymer. film and the experiments were carried out using this film. From the above fact, following results were obtained. (1) It was examined experimentally strain distribution good piezoelectric polymer film until now small. From the experimental result, the results of the accuracy were better than the conventional method. (2)Piezoelectric polymer films are produced process rolling. The output voltage of the film is different according to the rolling direction. In the case of the strain analysis, therefore, it superimposed a film to 2 directions, and strain gages were produced experimentally, the experiment was carried out further than before trial gages (5×5mm) The experimental result of strain distribution was obtained with the good accuracy. (3)Using the film that the electrode is being deposited only in one side of piezo-electric film, Strain distribution were measured using wide area (10×5mm) small area. (5×5mm) of these films. The accuracy was compared experimentally. It was verified that the accuracy is good from the comparison experiment in a small area film.
