Research Abstract |
We investigated the effect of arsenic exposure from the before embryonic on the development of central nervous system of the child. C57B1/6 mouse were exposed trivalent arsenite(As (III)) and pentavalent arsenate(As(v)) in low-level(10ppm) or high-level(100ppm) in drinking-water, and the arsenic exposure have continued to 3 generations. The behavioral development test in the early stage of growth, and Open-field test and T-type water maze test after the growth were carried out the animals in 3 generation(F2). After the behavioral tests, immunological function was tested using lymphocyte of the lien. We observed different effect of long-term inorganic arsenic exposure for the development of postnatal behavior between As(III) and As(V). Little effects of the As exposure on the behavioral development test of the mouse were observed in the As(III) animals, but delay of development of the reflection and motor function was observed in the As(V) animals. In addition, some effects on the emotional reaction after the growth were also observed in the As exposed animals. It is not known the reason that we obtained different results for their behavior between long term exposure of As(III) and As(V) animals. But, it is necessary to clarify the mechanism for these causes in future.
