Research Abstract

We tried to perform the effective gene transfer to lung tissue by using adeno-virus, however, the expression of maker gene was too low to estimate the gene transfer to lung tissue. The level of LAC-Z expression was also low in spite of several transfection methods.
Because it was not successful to develop the pulmonary hypertension model by using rabbit, we modified the experimental protocol. However we could not develop the adequate animal model to mimic pulmonary hypertension. In conclusion, it was not successful to develop a new therapy against pulmonary hypertension by way of gene modification with adenovirus.
