Research Abstract |
This research project aims to clarify what kind of assessments and supports will be needed in supporting students with minor developmental disorders. To achieve this goal, we developed a multi-dimensional assessments/comprehensive support system. The system is composed of 1.a set of measurements in behavioral and neurophysiological traits and 2.comprehensive supports by peer students team. Based on this system, following problems on behavioral management were investigated. (1)Supports needed in students with ADHD spectrum in Japan. (2)An evaluation of students with ADHD in USA. (3)An evaluation of development in behavioral management in normal students. (4)Successive psycho-educational supports for students with severe adaptational difficulties. (5)Neurocognitive correlates of ADHD traits. We were able to present future directions for the assessment battery. To evaluate the effect of medication, neurophysiological indexes should be needed. The proposed system is flexible enough to use in the real academical setting. The application of this system will contribute to further studies in support practice on students with ADHD traits.
