Research Abstract

本研究は小型放電装置で高密度生成された希ガスエキシマによって赤外超短パルスレーザーの高次高調波を増幅し、レーザー加工に必要なミリジュール程度の出力を有する真空紫外極端パルスを発生させることを目的として研究を行ってきた。本年度は最終年度であり、以下のに示す希ガスエキシマの高次高調波による増幅評価を行った。
まず、真空紫外増幅実験として、クリプトンガスキャピラリーへのYb : YLF超短パルス光照射によって7次高調波光(波長146nm,〜1μJ)を発生した。この7次高調波をエキシマ増幅器により増力し、サブミリジュール出力を得、当初の目的をほぼ達成することに成功した。この際、エキシマ増幅器にはこれまでに開発されてきた高クリプトンガス圧の安定なグロー放電装置を使用した。次に、真空紫外増幅光の評価として、反応素過程を踏まえた時間変動増幅モデルを構築し、数値計算と実験データを比較検討した。レーザー出力のガス圧依存性や時間波形が実験値と定量的にほぼ一致したことから増幅モデルが信頼性の高いものであることがわかった。
