Research Abstract

我々の研究グループは共通周期5Åをもつ結晶性三重層分子集合体を発見した。このらせん状超分子では、水素結合網の周期に加え、モノマーとポリマーの周期がほぼ一致している。そのため、共役ジエンモノマーを用いると、将棋倒しの要領で反応して完全な不斉誘導重合がおこる。そこで本研究はキラル結晶を探索して一方の鏡像体のみを合成し、生成高分子の立体構造が転写されるかどうかを調べることを目的とした。昨年度に引き続き得られた成果をいかに列挙する。
1.種々のモノマーモデルを用いキラルな反応鋳型となる超分子三重層の探索をコンビナトリアルケミストリー的手法により行った。
2.得られた超分子の結晶中での構造を、赤外吸収分光法、熱重量分析法、単結晶X線構造解析、X線粉末回折法などにより調べた。この結果、層状構造においては鋳型とする芳香族アミンを分子設計することで、アキラルな構造分子からキラルな結晶を作製する手法を見出した。4-メチルベンジルアミンを用いるとアキラルならせん状構造を持つものと、不斉層状構造をもつキラル結晶を得ることができた。
3.天然由来のロジンを不斉発生源として用い、この化学物質を鋳型としてらせん構造を誘導することに成功した。またそれらせん構造には右巻き、左巻きが存在し、組み合わせるモノマーモデルを工夫することで作り分けができることを見出した。これらを用いることで本研究の目的とするらせん状超分子を用いる鋳型重合が可能となった。
4.鋳型であるロジン物質はカルボキシル基を持っており、超分子構造体形成・重合後、他の酸性成分と交換することで、分子情報の複製が実現できる。
