Research Abstract

3つのフェノキシド基をオルト位でメチレン鎖で連結した鎖型のフェノキシド3両体を3座型補助配位子として用いて、4から6属遷移金属錯体ヒドリド錯体の合成を行った。フェキシド-ヒドリド錯体から水素分子が還元的脱離すれば、極めて反応活性な化学種が生成し、特異な小分子(窒素分子、一酸化炭素、二酸化炭素等)の活性化反応が達成できると期待できる。
4属遷移金属錯体を用いた反応では、2つの金属間に3つのヒドリド配位子が架橋した2核錯体が得られた。ジルコニウム錯体では酸化数IVであり、金属間に結合はない。一方、チタン錯体では酸化数がTi(III)の3重ヒドリド架橋2核錯体が得られた。温度可変NMRスペクトルでは化学シフトに温度依存性はない。さらに、X線構造解析より、金属間の距離は極めて短く、金属間結合の存在を示している。これはチタン3価の化合物で金属間結合をもつ極めて珍しい化合物である。
5属遷移金属ヒドリド錯体の合成では、窒素分子の活性化が観測された。例えば、ニオブ錯体では金属2個に対し、窒素分子1つが活性化され、窒素-窒素3重結合の切断が起こり、ニトリド配位子架橋の2核錯体が生成する。ヒドリド錯体を中間体として反応が進行していると考えており、現在、その中間体の単離および反応機構の解明を進めている。一方、タンタル錯体では窒素分子の活性化は起こらず、多座配位子のC-HおよびC-O結合活性化が観測された。
6属遷移金属では金属間に多重結合を持つ化合物が得られた。
今後、本研究で得られたフェキシド-ヒドリド錯体を基盤に、新しい小分子活性化反応に取り組む。
