Research Abstract

本研究では、多画文字のオンライン認識において、手書きの筆順変動・画数変動・大幅な変形(形状・位置・回転)に対しても安定し、精度の高い認識を実現することを目的とした。今年度、本研究においてこの目的の達成に成功した。研究実績の概要は次のとおりである。
まず、人間が書いた署名を自動に検定するアルゴリズムの開発することにより、高精度の認識の実現を試みた。署名の特徴の情報として(1)各ストロークで独立に定まる個別画情報:ストロークの形状、ストロークのXの座標、ストロークのYの座標、ペンの筆圧、ペンの速度、ペンの傾きなど、(2)ストロークの相互の間で相対的な関係により定まる画間相互情報:画間の相対的位置,相対的長短、交差の有無など、の分析を行い、その情報の有効性を確かめた。この画間相互情報を文字認識に導入することで、安定し、ロバストな認識が可能になることについて検討を行った。
多画文字のオンライン認識の手法を踏まえで、本研究では個人の筆跡に基づいたフォント生成の斬新なシステムを提案した。フォント生成の手法は、参照文字データベースをベクトル量子化を用いて圧縮し、1対多のストロークの対応からストローク対応データベースを得ることで行われる。更に本システムはフーリエ記述子と続け字解析データベースを用いることで滑らかな続け字の生成が可能となる。本研究では、25名の被験者による主観的基準と客観的基準による評価実験を行った。評価実験により生成されたフォントのユーザの大域的個人性と局所的個人性及びストローク対応の有効性を示すことができた。
