Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究は、相互作用点を集積することを基本コンセプトとして分離機能材料の開発を行い、液体クロマトグラフィ(HPLC)への応用展開を目指した。当該年度の代表的な研究成果を下記の通り要約する。
(1)相互作用点としてのカルボニル基を分子レベルで集積するために、長鎖アルキル化b-Alaを側鎖に導入したグルタミド誘導体を作製した。多孔質シリカ粒子に固定化したのち、HPLCにおける分離能を調査し、様々な幾何異性体に対して優れた分子形状識別能を発揮することを確認した。また、この高い選択性の原因が、長鎖アルキル鎖によるカルボニル基の配向促進効果に基づくことも明らかにした。(Chem. Comm., 2015で発表)
(2)b-Ala基由来のカルボニル基を多重相互作用点とする有機相を設計する上で、ベースユニット当りのb-Alaの導入量や導入位置を系統的に変化させたアミノ酸誘導体を種々作製し、これらを多孔質シリカ粒子に固定化して、HPLCによる分離能を比較調査した。分子構造およびシリカ上での集積構造については、DRIFT、固体および懸濁NMR、DSC等により評価した。b-Ala基の集積は、有機相の配向状態の促進に寄与し、結果として逆相分配モードでの分子形状識別能が著しく増大することを確認した。また、b-Ala基の集積によって、逆相分配モードだけでなく、親水性相互作用モードでの分離能も著しく向上することを確認した。この性質を利用して、キサンチン、核酸塩基、ヌクレオチド、水溶性ビタミンなどに対して高い選択性が得られることを確認した。(Anal. (3)L-Lysベースの分子ゲル形成分子を作製し、多孔質シリカ粒子に固定化してHPLCに適用した。光学分割能を確認した始めての分子ゲル固定化粒子として研究成果を報告した。(Anal. Methods, 2015で発表)
