Outline of Annual Research Achievements

メタン発酵はバイオマス廃棄物処理およびエネルギー回収に活用できる技術として期待されている。しかし、メタン発酵廃液の処理は重要な課題であり、今後メタン発酵によるバイオマスのエネルギー化利用を推進するために、メタン発酵廃液の適正処理は避けて通れない。本研究は廃棄物系バイオマスのエネルギーを図るためのトータルシステムの合理化と技術革新を目指すため、メタン発酵廃液からの窒素除去に対応する新規アナモックスプロセスを開発しようとするもので、平成27年度では次の成果が得られた。
(1)UASB-Anammoxプロセスの安定性に与える阻害因子の影響および回復過程に関して連続実験を通して解析した結果、アンモニアおよび亜硝酸による阻害濃度範囲を明らかにした。また、遊離アンモニアFA < 5 mg/Lかつ遊離亜硝酸FNA < 2 μg/Lの条件においてプロセスは高い除去率が得られた。なお、制御範囲としてpHが7.5-8.5の範囲にあって、FAが10 mg/100 mgNH4+-N以下且つFNAが0.005 mg/100 mg NO2-N以下に最適化された。本研究に構築された制御範囲は工学的な応用価値が高い。
(2)ハイブリッド単槽式脱窒素プロセスの研究として完全混合反応槽に担体を投入することにより、好気性アンモニア酸化細菌(AOB)と嫌気性Anammox細菌を共存させ、一槽式Anammoxの連続実験を行い、その脱窒性能、関連細菌の活性および菌体付着した担体の状況を明らかにした。
(3)本研究では次世代シーケンスでAnammox反応槽における微生物群集構造を解析した結果、Planctomycetes門は150日目の0.2%から450日目の31.6%に上昇したことを把握したとともに、検出した優占Anammox種はCandidatus BrocadiaとCandidate Kueneniaであった。
