Outline of Annual Research Achievements

平成28年度に得られた主な研究成果は以下の通りである。
1)バベシア病に対する原虫由来の共通ワクチン候補抗原(profilin)を同定し、その生物学的性状を明らかにした。
2)牛バベシア原虫(Babesia bovis)の薬剤標的分子として、原虫由来のmethionine aminopeptidaseを同定し、その分子生物学的性状を明らかにした。
3)ヒトバベシア原虫(Babesia microti)に対するワクチン候補抗原としての原虫由来のmethionine aminopeptidaseの免疫学的効果について明らかにした。
