Outline of Annual Research Achievements

膜分離リアクターおよび高次処理工程から発生する難分解性の汚泥や植物、藻類バイオマスをエネルギー化するために、電気分解と嫌気性処理を組み合わせた微生物電気分解槽(MEC)や混合メタン発酵等を検討した。MECでは、TiRuO2電極を使用して、異なる電圧印加条件の下でメタン生成量や安定性を評価した。沈水植物を原料とした連続実験において、メタン収率と固形物可溶化が通電下で明らかに改善した。1V下で最も高いメタン生成速度である248.2±21.0 mL/L/dを記録した。また、藻類バイオマスに対して生ごみを混合したメタン発酵では、混合比が藻類:生ごみ=2:8のVS比で最高のメタン収率 639.8±1.3 mL/g VSaddedを記録した。これは単独で藻類を原料とした場合の5倍程度の数値であり、エネルギー回収性の改善に役立つことが示唆された。
