Outline of Annual Research Achievements

断熱型超伝導論理回路を用いた超低電力集積回路実現のため,本年度はセルライブラリの構築と高速インターフェイス回路の実現に取り組んだ.以下にその詳細を示す.
断熱型超伝導論理回路を用いてマイクロプロセッサ等の大規模集積回路を実現するためには,ロバストな論理セル,及びセルライブラリが必要となる.特に断熱型超伝導論理回路では,論理セル間の配線インダクタンスが回路動作に大きく影響を与えるという問題があった.そこで私は,回路パラメータ及びレイアウトの最適化により配線インダクタンスの影響を軽減し,論理セルのロバスト化を行った.構築したセルライブラリを用いて全加算器等の小規模論理回路を設計し,低速実験において正常な論理動作と広い動作余裕度を確認した.この結果,構築したセルライブラリの高いロバスト性を示すことに成功した.これらの成果について2014年電子情報通信学会ソサイエティ大会で報告を行った.
断熱型超伝導論理回路の高速動作実証のためには,出力レベルを増幅する高速インターフェイス回路が必要となる.そこで私は超伝導ラッチ回路を用いた高速動作テスト回路を提案し,小規模な断熱型超伝導論理回路の1 GHzでの高速動作実証に成功した.ここで,動作周波数は現有の測定系によって制限されており,測定環境の改善によりさらに高い周波数での動作実証が可能である.これらの成果について米国で開催されたASC2014にて口頭発表を行った.また,本結果をまとめた論文はIEEE Transactions on Applied Superconductivityに招待論文として掲載された.
以上より,一年度目の目標であったセルライブラリの構築,及び二年度目の目標であった高速インターフェイス回路の実現を完了し,本研究は当初の予定よりも順調に進行した.
