Outline of Annual Research Achievements

昨年度から引き続き非平衡グリーン関数の方法を物性分野に応用する研究を推進した。特に今年度は反強磁性体の物理学に焦点を当てた。反強磁性体とは、ミクロなレベルで磁化が互い違いの方向を向いて並び全体としては磁化を持たないがある種の磁石としての性質を示す。反強磁性体に関する研究は測定技術の進歩によりここ数年急激に盛んになってきているが、非平衡状態を記述する理論的枠組みは確立されていない。我々はいち早くグリーン関数の方法を反強磁性体に適用して当該分野の発展に貢献してきた。まず、反強磁性体と強磁性体（すなわち普通の磁石）の間の境界面を挟んで電圧をかけた場合に反強磁性体の磁化がどのように運動するかを微視的な視点から理論的に計算する研究を行った。強磁性体の場合と比較して、これまでに知られていないタイプの寄与が運動方程式に現れることを示すことに成功した。次にここで導出した運動方程式の応用として、反強磁性体の磁壁を電流によって動かすことが可能になることを示した。磁壁とは磁化の並びが指し示す方向が異なる領域の間の境界を指す。この磁壁は情報の記録に応用が期待されており、その制御は応用物理の重要な問題である。我々は電気的方法に基づいた新しい磁壁の制御方式を提案した。これら二つの結果はドイツ物理学会で発表された。さらに反強磁性体が隣接する金属の抵抗に与える影響を検証した実験結果の理論的解釈にも貢献した。実験結果は特異な温度依存性を示しており、我々はそれをよくフィットする理論式を導出することに成功した。この結果はPhysical Review Lettersに出版された。
