超弦理論を背景とする5次元超重力理論の素粒子現象論及び宇宙論

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

ボトムアップの立場である5次元超重力理論に基づき、宇宙論的側面と素粒子現象論的側面の双方に着目した。本年度は、前年度に提案したモジュライ・インフレーション機構と整合する二つの超対称性模型を提案した。提案した一つの模型では、超対称性の破れのスケールが高く、W-ボソンの超対称性パートナーであるウィーノが素粒子標準模型に存在しない暗黒物質の候補になり得る。一方の模型は、稼働中のLHC実験で検出可能な超対称粒子のスペクトラムを予言し、重力子の超対称パートナーであるグラヴィティーノが暗黒物質になり得ることを指摘した。双方の模型とも、素粒子標準模型に存在する理論的・観測的な問題点を解決し、素粒子実験並びに宇宙論的観測に対して示唆を与える。
トップダウンの立場であるII型超弦理論における非摂動効果に注目することで、新しいタイプのアクシオン・インフレーション機構を提案した。アクシオン場が引き起こすインフレーション機構は、現在の宇宙論的観測と無矛盾であると同時に、観測可能な重力波の揺らぎを与え得ることがわかった。
弦理論に基づく素粒子現象論的側面では、コニフォールド上のIIB型超弦理論において、コニフォールド内のサイクルにD7-ブレーンが巻き付く状況を想定し、D7-ブレーン上の物質場に対する解析的な波動関数を得た。カラビヤウ多様体上にコンパクト化された超弦理論において、物質場の波動関数を導く第一歩であると期待される。また、前年度に提案したSO(32)ヘテロ型超弦理論に基づく素粒子標準模型の構築の定量的な解析を行った。背景磁場のあるSO(32)ヘテロ型超弦理論では、ゲージ結合定数に対する輻射補正は背景磁場の依存性が異なるため、ストリングスケールにおけるゲージ結合定数のずれを説明することが可能となった。また、同種の背景磁場は素粒子の3世代構造を導くことも明らかにした。
