Outline of Annual Research Achievements

報告者は、博士論文「Six-Dimensional Superconformal Field Theories and Their Torus Compactifications (6 次元超共形場理論とそのトーラスコンパクト化)」を執筆した。博士論文では、6次元超共形場の基礎的な理論、及びM理論におけるbraneとオービフォールド、オリエンティフォールド特異点を用いた非自明な6次元超共形場理論の構成を説明するとともに、報告者及び共著者の3本の論文についてまとめた。これらの論文は、“6d N = (1, 0) theories on T2 and class S theories: Part I,” JHEP 07 (2015) 014, “6d N=(1, 0) theories on S1/T 2 and class S theories: part II,” JHEP 1512 (2015) 131, “S1/T2 Compactifications of 6d N = (1, 0) Theories and Brane Webs,” JHEP 1603 (2016) 024 である。これらの論文では、前述のレビューパートで導入した6次元超共形場理論のトーラスコンパクト化について扱っている。
また、報告者はIIB 弦理論における(p,q) 5-brane web と呼ばれる5次元場の理論のブレーン構成の拡張について研究を進めている。これは、より広い範囲の5次元超共形場理論の記述を可能とすることを目標としており、具体的には特殊直交群やE型のゲージ群をもつゲージ理論の紫外固定点にある超共形場理論や、6次元超共形場理論の円によるコンパクト化等である。
