Research Abstract

昨年度までのデータから、フラーレン-二酸化チタン間の電子注入過程が律速となり変換効率が思わしくないことが明らかとなった。
そこで本年度は、フラーレン-二酸化チタン間の電子注入過程の問題を解決するため、電極材料として、酸化スズ、酸化亜鉛などのより導電帯のエネルギーが低い酸化物を利用することを検討した。酸化スズコロイド、カルボキシル基を有するフラーレン誘導体、電子ドナーとしてのテトラチアフルバレン混合溶液のレーザーフラッシュホトリシス法による検討から、電子ドナーとフラーレン誘導体間の光誘起電子移動反応後、フラーレン誘導体アニオンラジカルからの効率よい酸化スズ導電帯への電子注入過程が明らかとなった。また、酸化スズ電極上にフラーレン誘導体を吸着させた光起電セルの試作を行い、効率は低い(約0.1%)が試作に成功した。
また、フラーレン単体では可視光領域の光捕集能力に限界があるため、光捕集効果の増大を考慮した新規色素の検索を行い、ペリレンジイミドとフタロシアニンをそれぞれ電子ドナー、アクセプターとした光エネルギー変換サイクルの可能性を検討した。酸化物表面への吸着を考慮するため、ペリレンジイミドへカルボキシル基を導入した化合物を新規に合成し、またフタロシアニンを電子ドナーとした光起電セルの試作を行い、効率約0.2%ながらも試作に成功した。またこの系において、光エネルギー変換効率の向上のため、ペリレンジイミド-フタロシアニン2元系の構築を検討した。
