Research Abstract

今年度は、継続して「なんてん2」によるサブミリ波帯の観測を推進し、合わせてSMART受信機による試験観測を実施し、多くの成果をあげた。主な項目を以下に要約する。
1)大小マゼラン雲の広域観測を、CO分子のJ=2-1遷移によって行い、高感度イメージを得た。特に大マゼラン雲については、従来知られていた個々の分子雲に加えて、分子雲の周辺に薄く広がるフィラメント状成分を多数検出した。これらの成分は、分子雲の形成に関わる可能性があり、中性水素との比較などとの関連で注目される。
2)超新星残骸RXJ1713、W28、RCW86等の領域の広域観測を同様に実施し、COのJ=1-0遷移と比較し、超新星残骸と相互作用するガスが、有意に高い励起状態にあることを明らかにした。
3)分子雲によるジェット候補天体の詳細観測を同様に実施し、温度・密度分布を導出した。特に、MJG348.5と名付けた天体において70Kに至る高温部が存在することを明らかにした。この結果は、100km/s程度以上の衝撃波加熱の必要性を示し、Yamamoto et al.(2009)の示唆した高エネルギージェットとの相互作用が分子雲ジェットを形成したとする説を支持する。
4)稠密星団Westerlund2の詳細観測を同様に行い、ジェットとアーク状分子雲を発見して、非等方超新星爆発が原因であることを示唆した。また、同星団の母体分子雲2個を特定し、両者の衝突によって、まれに見る稠密星団が形成されたとの説を提唱した。
